Are you walking from the cottage or driving to a beach?
- Walking via your cottage’s beach access: ask the host which path you may use, whether it is shared, and whether there are stairs or road crossings. The listing’s access description does not establish parking rights elsewhere.
- Driving to a Truro town beach: check that beach’s visitor access and parking requirements, then use the prices and paperwork below. Not every town lot has the same eligibility.
- Driving to a National Seashore lot: use the National Seashore’s entrance arrangements, not a Truro town sticker. At Head of the Meadow, identify which lot you intend to use.
Choose your beach guide before buying a pass. A waterfront photo or a nearby cottage address is not a parking permit.
Can you visit without a weekly town sticker?
Yes, but choose the beach first. For a town beach day in the regulated season, Corn Hill and the town side of Head of the Meadow offer daily parking. A daily pass is not available at every town beach.
Noons Landing on Shore Road is a separate option: the town lists no parking-permit requirement, but only 16 spaces and no toilet. It suits a lighter outing if a legal space is available, not a guaranteed substitute for a weekly pass.
For an NPS beach such as Race Point, use the National Seashore entrance-pass information instead. If your rental has its own beach access, ask the host to show you that route; you may not need to drive for every beach visit.
Truro visitor sticker prices for 2026
For 2026, Truro’s visitor sticker information lists a one-week visitor sticker at $120. The regulated period is June 20–September 7, 2026. These are reference prices, not confirmed 2027 prices.

For one vehicle, three $35 daily visits cost $105; four cost $140. A $120 weekly sticker can therefore cost less for four visits, but daily passes are listed only for those two town beaches. Choose based on the beaches you want to use, not price alone. A permit does not guarantee a space.
What to ask your host
- Ask the host for the town’s completed guest application and confirm the rental’s registration.
- Prepare vehicle documents: the required registration or lease documentation.
- Check eligibility: visitor eligibility requires a stay in Truro; a booking elsewhere on Cape Cod is not equivalent.
Buy through the town’s sticker information and sales link. For vehicle-document questions, contact the Beach Office at 508-487-6983 before arriving. Stickers are tied to the registered vehicle, not a shared pass for everyone staying in a cottage.
What if the parking lot is full?
A sticker does not reserve a space. Before leaving, pick a second beach whose parking rules also work for your vehicle and pass. Corn Hill has a larger bay-side lot than small stops such as Ryder; Head of the Meadow is an ocean-side alternative, but its town and NPS entrances take different passes.
Follow posted closures and parking limits. Private drives and road shoulders are not overflow parking. If the alternative requires a different pass, settle that before joining another entrance queue.
Does a beach sticker cover Race Point, fires or clamming?
No: parking, oversand driving, beach fires and shellfish harvesting are separate permissions. Race Point uses the National Seashore entrance system, not Truro town parking stickers. Driving on its designated sand corridor involves a separate ORV application and vehicle requirements.
